We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic-minded individual to fill the role of Business Development and Alliance Manager. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development, this position will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our organization through the development of strategic partnerships and effective business development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic transactions and licensing of pipeline products.
- Drive business development activities in alignment with the broader company strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders and functional teams, working as part of a small – high performance – Business Development and Alliance Management group.
- Work closely Research, Medical, and CMC to develop and execute the appropriate partnering strategy and plan.
- Consolidate market understanding, based on Leads Biolab's target product profile, indications and anticipated advancements in the disease space to: (1) Fully characterize the competitive market landscape and current/future dynamics shaping the space. (2) Identify global and regional partners. (3) Maintain awareness of deal making climate, important analogues and deal attributes, to address the conditions supporting Leads Biolab's partnering strategy. (4) Develop market and deal assessments to inform the partner strategy.
- Manage partner engagement to: (1) Message the Leads Biolabs pipeline to potential partners. (2) Act as point of contact managing the business development process, working with potential partners to advance program understanding. (3)Assess and identify partnering leads for recommendation.
- Drive the partnering process internally and coordinate all aspects of due diligence and related interactions.
- Be the main point of contact and manage all aspects of an alliance with new and existing partners. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biological science or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Basic understanding of large molecule drug discovery and development.
- Experience in working with collaborators and partners in the biopharma industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with legal and contractual aspects of partnerships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools. Attributes:
