Amazon has spent years building one of the world's most efficient and optimized supply chains. The Multi-Channel Commerce & Fulfillment org (MCCF) will build on that foundation and continue to innovate the warehousing and delivery to enable Merchants of all sizes to scale their supply chains.
This Sales Manager will create, own, and implement a strategy by leading a team to onboard strategic partners into the MCCF products, creating strong partnerships with rapidly growing the businesses. You will own the business strategy for the group, working to create mutual goals, individualized agreements with integrators, and a build long term roadmap to fulfill the growth of this strategic customer segment.
The ideal candidate is a strong influencer and will own bridging alignment across internal and external stakeholders. They will be responsible for drafting a business plans to obtain resource investment across ops, tech or other partner teams. They also must possess 5-7 years of successful enterprise class sales experience, preferably in the eCommerce, transportation, finance, retail technology, logistics or software industries. Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach is required. Experience selling nascent products/services into new markets is strongly desired. Candidates must have superior communication and presentation skills, a strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications, an ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and be very passionate about success and winning. A bachelor's degree is required.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead Account Representatives focused on business development, account management, and partnership development.
- Own topline performance of this business segment, including reporting of acquisitions against targets, and developer integration metrics internally and to Amazon leadership.
- Liaise with MCCF Products, Operations and Tech teams to ensure roadmaps are aligned with strategy.
- Work with Business Strategy and marketing team to ensure necessary materials are created to support recruitment goals.
- Build and maintain a presence for Amazon's Multi-Channel fulfillment program, through attendance at industry conferences, events, etc.
Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must possess 5-7 years enterprise sales experience.
- Track record of consistently exceeding sales objectives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both externally to prospective clients and internally to upper management.
- Ability to work with all levels of a Seller's organization.
- Ability to prioritize work in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate progress and objectives to upper management.
- Strong problem-solving passion and service orientation.
- An ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and a passion for success and winning.
- Highly analytical with passion for data.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- The Sales Manager is a strong thought leader who will develop the team's business strategy, and execution plans for their Sales Reps.
- The right person will be highly technical and analytical, and also capable of understanding the complexities of software, supply chain, and e-commerce processes.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in leading sales teams, solutions development, and business development within supply chain and operations.
- Experience working with emerging technologies, proficient in developing a tangible plan of action to achieve a bold vision.
