About the role:
The Head of China Car OEM & EV will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic sales vision to dominate and expand Nexperia's market share within the Chinese Automotive OEM and Electric Vehicle ecosystem. This role is critical for achieving/exceeding aggressive revenue and profitability (DIT) targets by leveraging deep semiconductor expertise to design-in our extensive portfolio of automotive-grade discrete logic, MOSFETs, and analog products. The successful candidate will build and lead a high-performance technical sales team, foster executive-level relationships with key Chinese OEMs and EV startups, and position Nexperia as a strategic semiconductor technology partner.

What you will do:

  • Owning and hitting/exceeding regional sales and DIT targets (Quarterly/Half-Year/Annual) for the China Car OEM & EV segment, directly contributing to the company's global automotive growth plan
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive strategic plan focused on key Chinese OEMs, EV manufacturers, and Tier 1 suppliers to achieve design-win and revenue targets for automotive-grade semiconductors
  • Defining and executing gap closure plans with precise countermeasures (e.g., new design-in focus, pricing strategies, resource re-allocation) to mitigate risk and ensure target achievement
  • Building, motivating, and maintaining a strong, technically proficient sales and FAE (Field Application Engineer) team capable of engaging in deep technical discussions on automotive electronics
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting strategic relationships at the executive and engineering management levels within key automotive accounts
  • Partnering with customers to understand their future vehicle architectures (E/E architecture, Zonal Controllers, BMS, Inverter design) and translating their needs into semiconductor requirements
  • Effectively communicating the value proposition of Nexperia's automotive product portfolio (AEC-Q100/101 qualified, Zero defects, functional safety support) through technical presentations and proposals
  • Thoroughly understanding the automotive semiconductor market landscape, including trends (electrification, autonomy, connectivity), competitor strategies, and pricing dynamics

What you will need:
Hard Skills:

  • Deep technical understanding of Automotive electronics and semiconductor applications (e.g., Power Management, Motor Drive, Battery Systems, ADAS, In-Vehicle Networking) is essential
  • Proven experience in selling and designing standard / high-volume semiconductor components into automotive applications
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality and functional safety standards (e.g., AEC-Q100, IATF 16949, ISO 26262)

Soft Skills:

  • Entrepreneurial, strategic thinker with a strong results-oriented and customer-oriented orientation
  • Proven leader and team player with a hands-on mentality, capable of motivating a technical sales team
  • Exceptional track record of working in and leading multicultural/international teams
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including the C-level of major automotive companies
  • Proven ability to drive the complex automotive sales process from initial engagement and design-win through to mass production ramp
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • High willingness to travel frequently within China to meet with customers and the team
