As a Failure Analysis Engineer at Meta, you will play an important role for determining rapid root cause analysis for issues occurred in new product development and reliability test. You will advise on strategies to mitigate issues and make a direct impact on product design. We emphasize on a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to solve technical issues. Failure Analysis Engineer Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed root cause analysis on technically complex failures from reliability test
- Identify and define appropriate characterization techniques to root cause complex problems
- Cross-correlate data from various techniques to drive towards conclusions
- Hands-on work with various tools including x-ray imaging, microscopy, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry techniques
- On-the-ground support failure analysis at manufacturing partner site
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years failure analysis experience
- Hands-on work with various tools including x-ray imaging (2D X-ray/CT Scan), microscopy, SEM, FTIR, cross-section, dye-and-pry
- Experience in consumer electronics, knowledge on PCBA, display module, audio module, adhesive, coating etc
- Ability to effectively communicate with US and China teams
- This position can have up to 30% domestic travel to external labs/manufacturing partner
