Objectives:
- Ensure regulatory compliance of the assigned business unit (BU) in area of Product Stewardship in Greater China
- Leverage the expertise from other experts in PS&R Greater China, KL and global etc. to ensure new requirements to be implemented according to the respective applications in assigned BU
- Implement global product stewardship strategy and help to shape local product stewardship strategy
- Represent PS&R to internal service recipients in BU
- Contribute to the advancement of SAP to facilitate safe operations and maintain a license-to-operate, supported by product safety initiatives in Greater China
Main Tasks:
- Provide troubleshooting expertise, consultation, and training to internal stakeholders, including supply chain, EHS, Product Safety community, and OD Product stewardship, regarding China's chemical regulations and application regulations in specific industry
- Provide customized seminar/webinar/training to the assigned BU internal stakeholders including R&D, Product Manager, Marketing, Sales, Production, EHS etc. for their specific interests
- Collaborate with peers to support the implementation of new regulations, conducting impact analyses, project planning, training, and communication.
- Monitor and communicate with the assigned BU for the relevant industry regulation updates e.g. New & Existing Chemicals, Hazardous Chemicals, Coating, REACH, PFAS, Automotive etc. leveraging PS&R Greater China team expertise
- Deliver professional service with Product stewardship (PSS) throughout the whole life cycle of the product including raw material introduction, license-to-operate, management of change, order releasing and customer inquiry etc. for the designated BU
- Ensure that the requirements of chemical and product application regulations are implemented within the designated BU
- Develop and implement product compliance strategies for relevant BU by working closely with the Global and Regional PSS in the designated BU, support relevant sustainability topics in line with OD demands
- Support BU/OD for internal/external audit and inspection for product safety code.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in science or engineering, preferably Chemistry, Chemical, Polymer, Material
- Working Experience: At least 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of chemical regulations and product safety is essential.
- Good understanding of the master data system, as well as supply chain and business processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to initiate and work independently.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
