About the Role
We are hiring a senior technology leader to drive the build and scale-up of a new brokerage and wealth management platform. Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the management team, this role will be pivotal in shaping both the technology roadmap and the broader business direction. It is a hands-on position where you will establish core platforms and infrastructure from the ground up, while leveraging the support of a larger fintech group.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technology roadmap in line with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Build, lead, and mentor a lean, high-performing technology team in a startup environment.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and integration of CRM, OMS, EMS, clearing, and settlement systems.
- Lead the development of scalable, cloud-native, and secure trading infrastructure.
- Drive vendor evaluation, selection, and management across trading, infrastructure, and compliance platforms.
- Establish governance, compliance, and security practices aligned with MAS TRM, ISO27001, and SOC2 standards.
- Work closely with product, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure technical delivery.
Core Infrastructure & Partner Integrations
- Lead backend and middle-office infrastructure for trading operations.
- Oversee integrations with execution brokers, custodians, tax providers, market data vendors, and risk/analytics platforms.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of trading systems, OMS/EMS, and related services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Head of Engineering, Tech Lead, or equivalent role within brokerage, wealthtech, or trading platform firms.
- Hands-on expertise with cloud-native architectures, microservices, distributed systems, and high-concurrency trading systems.
- Strong knowledge of CRM, OMS, EMS, and clearing/settlement workflows.
- Familiarity with MAS TRM, ISO27001, SOC2, and other regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Mandarin proficiency is advantageous, given frequent interaction with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
