Quality Control Contractor based in Xiamen, China
to support our production oversight, vendor management, and inspection activities.
Position Overview
The QC Contractor will serve as KRG's on-the-ground representative for factory inspections, document verification, and production monitoring. The role involves working with multiple materials, conducting inspections against technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with KRG's standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process, random, and final inspections at vendor factories across multiple materials, including metal fixtures, wood furniture, solid surface, glass, and plastic.
- Establish and enforce quality standards to ensure operations meet production specifications.
- Verify measurements, finishes, tolerances, and color consistency against approved samples, drawings, and P0 requirements.
- Use precision measuring tools (digital calipers, micrometers, tape measures) to confirm accuracy.
- Confirm packaging and labeling compliance with KRG standards.
- Accept or reject products based on inspection results, quarantining items that fail requirements.
- Provide detailed photo and written inspection reports in English within 24 hours.
- Collaborate with local factory staff and report directly to KRG's U.S. office to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Monitor production timelines and flag risks or delays.
- Assist in sample inspections prior to shipment.

Qualifications
- Based in Xiamen or Zhangzhou, with flexibility to travel locally.
- Minimum 3 years of QC experience in furniture, fixtures, millwork, or related products.
- Proficient in measurement using both Imperial and metric systems; strong math/tolerance knowledge (e.g., 1/32").
- Strong English communication skills in writing; fluent spoken English a plus.
- Background in drafting, design, or engineering is a strong asset; experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, and ERP systems is an advantage.
- Dependable, self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and able to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Must be able to lift and handle parts during inspections.
