Food Technologist
Qualifications Required

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science or related discipline
  • 5+ years PD experience in seasonings, marinades for meat/seafood & coatings
  • Strong technical skills, expertise in new product design/development, ability to integrate positively with others, customer-centric, demonstrated ability to deliver objectives within demanding timelines
  • Strong ingredient and processing knowledge as well as knowledge of laboratory analytical technique
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and PC skills
  • Excellent organizational, project management and problem solving skills, works independently and possesses the ability to deal with changing priorities and varying customer needs.
  • Basic knowledge on food regulatory and strong sense of risks on food regulatory/food safety
  • Conversational in English
  • Ability to balance work and personal life under pressure

Description Of Position

  • Development of innovative new products and the optimization of existing products within cost guidelines, customer specifications and legal requirements.
  • Responsible for providing technical support to our processor clients typically via preparing finished product samples, in-plant technical support. Customer contact is frequent and unsupervised.
  • Responsible for report writing, including statistical evaluation of data, and accurately updating of formulation, ingredients, technology and files while maintaining the security of the information
  • Frequent interaction with suppliers, QA, Operations, Sales and Planning/Scheduling during development and commercialization activities
  • Responsible to approve alternate ingredients, substitutions or product revisions and assist in daily problem solving for quality, customer complaint or Operations issues.
