Description
The Director is part of a team of passionate marketers and researchers that are determined to bring the voice of consumers into the heart of our clients' businesses. With a focus on a specific industry sector and through passion for online market research, inspires marketers of cool companies.

The Director is co-responsible for the commercial development of the client base. Being close to our clients and their challenges, convince them of the added value that Human8 can bring to their business. At all times, the role undertakes appropriate action to keep on exceeding our clients' expectations and delivering a first-class service.

Thanks to in-depth industry expertise, the Director can build a long-term partnership with the clients, providing them with actionable and advanced marketing recommendations which will impact their decision making and leverage their business.

As part of a team, the Director shares marketing (research) expertise with the colleagues, act as a source of inspiration, and actively develop and support internal knowledge transfer. Furthermore, the Director applies coaching skills to motivate and guide project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the complete set-up, organization, and execution of market research projects.
  • Translate business problems into concrete and actionable research designs and methods.
  • Develop insightful reports based on the research consultants' analysis and on both quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
  • Present recommendations to clients and animate creative client workshops where, together with the client team, transform insights and recommendations into a concrete action plan.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities with both existing accounts and new prospects.
  • Develop and deliver convincing proposals to clients.
  • Responsible for an existing portfolio of accounts, as well as for the further development of existing accounts.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We are looking for an experienced colleague, with a solid understanding of the market research industry and strong commercial development skills, with proven success in both account management and attracting new business. Proficient in
English
(both oral and written).

  • Communication: Effective communication is essential for any research director. They must convey their vision and project goals clearly to team members and stakeholders. Listening skills are equally important to understand diverse perspective.
  • Writing: Research directors often write proposals, reports, and other documents. Their ability to articulate ideas persuasively is crucial for securing funding and support.
  • Research Skills: Conducting research, identifying relevant data sources, and drawing conclusions are fundamental skills, Research directors drive projects by staying informed and adapting to new methodologies.
  • Data Analysis: Understanding and interpreting data allow research directors to allocate resources effectively and guide research directions.
  • Critical Thinking: Complex problems arise frequently. Critical thinking skills help research directors analyse situations and identify effective solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and solving problems efficiently is essential. Creatively and adaptability play a role in overcoming challenges.
  • Organization: Managing information, resources, and project timelines ensures smooth operations. Research directors organize team efforts and track progress.
  • Time Management: Juggling various demands – research planning, reporting writing, and presentations – requires effective time management.

Education level
A bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. psychology, social studies, policies, business, etc).

Experience
At least 10 years as researcher, with 3:5 years' experience in leading a team of research professionals.

Proven Track
Demonstrated success through impactful research projects.
