Engineer with capable of software development related to Zebra's software and hardware, and providing comprehensive Zebra solutions across multiple industries to support Zebra's business with Sales Engineers, Partners, Independent software developers, System Integrators, and Customers across Greater China region.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Sales and Sales Engineers to provide solutions and the best software architecture for a given customer case. In some cases, developing proof of concept application will be required.
  • Work with Partners, Independent software developers and System Integrators to support software integration and solution implement successfully.
  • Work closely with other Sales Engineers to develop DEMO applications and testing tools.
  • Participate in Zebra core technologies virtual teams related to application development.
  • Deliver technical sessions in Zebra internal and external customer facing events such as App Forum.
  • Participate actively representing Zebra in industry events such as DroidCon or Zebra AppForum.
  • Be a mentor to other Sales Engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of software development, over 4-6 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong Knowledge of RFID solutions across multiple industries, preferred over 4-6 years of experience.
  • Android development and exposure/experience in development in embedded environments. Experience of integrating device specific SDK's into completed applications or proof of concept development projects.
  • Knowledge of hardware (mobile computer, RFID and printer) and networking is a bonus along with any interest in emerging technologies such as IoT, robotics, and machine learning.
  • Strong team-player with positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Relationship builder can establish rapport with people across a diverse organization.

Key Skills

  • Understanding of OOP (Object Orientated Programming) principles:Android Development, including uni-app and WeChat Mini Program
  • Windows Application Development
  • ava, C#, C++, Python
  • IoT Protocols
  • Embedded Programming
  • Familiarity with integrating 3rd party services (Rest APIs) & libraries (SDKs) into
  • applications.
  • Experience with Version Control, e.g. Git.
  • Familiarity with data interchange formats (JSON, XML).
  • Familiarity with RFID (HF, UHF and UWB)
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly to various audiences.
  • Comfortable creating & presenting technical content, to a variety of audiences, including non-technical
  • Willingness & ability to learn on the go + knowing how to leverage existing resources to grow knowledge (Google, StackOverflow, comfortable asking questions in person, etc...).
  • Advanced English is required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
