Job Responsibilities:

Payroll Operations

  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple APAC countries, coordinating centralized governance of local vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

  • Drive process improvements to streamline payroll operations and reduce manual interventions.

  • Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Partner with Finance for payroll accounting, funding, and reconciliation activities.

Compensation Operation:

  • Work closely with Total Rewards team on the annual compensation events across China and Singapore, ensuring alignment with global guidelines and local compliance.

  • Support global compensation policy rollouts with a focus on regional adaptation and communication.

Regional Leadership & Governance

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of regional payroll specialists.

  • Establish a governance framework for regional payroll operations, including standard operating procedures, SLAs, and risk controls.

  • Partner with global Total Rewards and HR Operations teams on system integrations (e.g., SAP, ADP).

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging automation, analytics, and technology.

  • Act as escalation point for complex compensation and payroll issues.

Key Qualifications:

Minimum 10–12 years of progressive experience in compensation administration and payroll operations, with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role across APAC.

  • Deep understanding of APAC labor markets, compensation trends, and statutory payroll requirements.

  • Experience managing multi-country payroll vendors and technology platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, ADP).

  • Proven track record in process transformation, compliance, and stakeholder management.

  • Excellent project management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and influencing ability across functions and geographies.
