The Business & Corporate Communications Coordinator is a professional who integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a well-defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. May be necessary to understand of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Basic commercial awareness may be required. Basic communication and diplomacy skills are required. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of a defined area.
Responsibilities
- Develops, coordinates, and executes cohesive, comprehensive business and client communications
- Translate corporate objectives into communications and drive execution
- Ensure that all communications are consistent and aligned closely with the firm's objectives
- Work closely across the communications function and business leadership to present a positive, integrated company image through clear, consistent communication that supports the company's near and long-term business goals
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications
- Knowledge of communications and 0-2 years of experience
- Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives
- Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
- A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to perform their tasks
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organization
- Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Critical competencies include oral communication, written communication, project management, relationship building, results orientation and strategic orientation
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business management, communications, marketing or another related field
