Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on leader to drive automation innovation in cable and connector manufacturing. This role will lead the development and deployment of advanced automation solutions across stamping, molding, plating, and assembly processes, enabling scalable and efficient production for new product introductions (NPI).

Reporting to the Global MPDE Leader, the Senior Manager will spearhead automation strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless integration of automated systems into manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-term automation strategies aligned with NPI and manufacturing goals
  • Lead cross-functional teams in designing, validating, and implementing automation solutions for cable/connector production
  • Own the automation roadmap for stamping, molding, plating, and assembly processes
  • Collaborate with global engineering, operations, and tooling teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis, simulation, and process optimization
  • Build and mentor a high-performing automation engineering team, fostering innovation and technical excellence
  • Ensure compliance with global standards and best practices in automation and manufacturing engineering

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 8 years in automation leadership roles
  • Proven track record in automation development for electrical connectors or cable assemblies
  • Deep expertise in PFMEA, DFM, tooling design, and automation software/simulation tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including stamping, molding, plating, and cable assembly
  • Experience working in multinational environments with mature management practices
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or related field
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and strategic planning skills
