As a Business Development Executive (BDE) for Microsoft Security Solutions at SoftwareOne, you will be responsible for driving business growth in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity market. You will focus on promoting Microsoft's comprehensive security portfolio — including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Entra ID (Identity), and Purview (Compliance) — helping enterprise customers strengthen their security posture and achieve compliance in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

You will work closely with Microsoft teams, internal technical specialists, and enterprise clients to identify, qualify, and close security-related opportunities across key industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Customer Engagement

· Identify and develop new business opportunities for Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity solutions.

· Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand their cybersecurity strategy, risk posture, and compliance requirements.

· Build trusted relationships with CISO, IT Security, and Infrastructure leaders to position SoftwareOne as a strategic Microsoft Security partner.

· Manage the complete sales cycle — from prospecting to deal closure — ensuring a consultative, value-based approach.

  • Microsoft Security Solution Sales

· Promote and position the full range of Microsoft Security solutions, including:

o Microsoft Defender Suite (for Endpoint, Identity, Cloud, Office 365)

o Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM & SOAR platform)

o Microsoft Entra (Identity, Access, and Governance)

o Microsoft Purview (Data Governance, Compliance, and Information Protection)

o Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Management

· Collaborate with SoftwareOne Pre-Sales Architects and Microsoft Technical Specialists to design and propose tailored solutions.

· Translate technical capabilities into clear business outcomes — improving security, reducing risk, and meeting compliance standards.

  • Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration

· Work closely with Account Managers on joint account planning and co-sell opportunities.

· Participate in Microsoft Security workshops, events, and campaigns to increase market visibility.

· Engage with customers across multiple industries to showcase the value of integrated Microsoft Security solutions.

· Collaborate internally with Cloud, Modern Work, and Data teams to deliver unified security and compliance offerings.

  • Sales Performance & Reporting

· Achieve quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets for Microsoft Security solution sales.

· Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data in CRM (Dynamics 365).

· Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to guide business strategy.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Business Administration.

· 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity sales, cloud solutions, or Microsoft enterprise technologies.

· Strong understanding of Microsoft Security architecture and solutions, including Defender, Sentinel, Entra, and Purview.

· Familiarity with Zero Trust, Cloud Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Data Governance concepts.

· Proven experience in Microsoft co-sell engagements or working with Microsoft Partner ecosystem.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.

· Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
