We're seeking someone to join our China Technology Reliability & Production Engineering team as a Systems Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Reliability & Production Engineering Department to integrate financial industry leading market data products to Morgan Stanley China platform and engineer customized technology solutions to support business development.

This is a production management SRE engineer position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for overseeing the production environment, ensuring the operational reliability of deployed software, and implementing strategies to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

What You'll Do In The Role
- Contribute to the function through complex project tasks and initiatives.
- Interact regularly with team members and occasionally leadership on a range of topics.
- Work with engineering/development teams to design, build, and maintain systems.
- Work with domestic and global market data applications vendors to integrate their products into Morgan Stanley China platform and provide services to support China business.
- Coordinate with multiple teams and manage project lifecycles to deliver the required capabilities to business users.
- Design and implement tooling solutions using SRE principles working in agile squads.
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire technology stack: hardware, software, application, and network.
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for our platforms; scope and create automation for deployment, management, and visibility of our services.
What You'll Bring To The Role
- Ability to process information, translate into plans and present summaries to stakeholders.
- Experienced understanding of business line and discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and debug to identify root causes.
- Proven track record of working in agile development environments.
- Working experience in SRE / vendor management or similar role, preferably within financial industry.
- Good written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Good project management skills coordinating with subject matter experts from different teams.
- Strong team player with good collaboration/teamwork spirit.
- Bachelor or above in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
