KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of a Pathosis for performing and reviewing all ordered parameters. Proficient in all areas of preclinical Pathology Department
- Maintain proficient knowledge of hematology including blood slide differential and reticulocyte counts, clinical chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, and fecal analysis. Coordinate operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all clinical pathology analyzers.
- Synthesize clinical signs, hematological and biochemical indices, and toxicokinetic data of experimental animals to analyze the toxic response mechanism of test articles, dose-toxicity effect relationships, and toxicity reversibility, providing core pathological evidence for safety evaluation reports.
- Contribute to the design of preclinical toxicology study protocols, providing professional suggestions from a pathological perspective (e.g., tissue sampling sites, fixation methods, key pathological examination points) to ensure the scientific and feasibility of study designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., toxicologists, pharmacologists, laboratory technicians) to solve technical problems in preclinical studies, such as explaining abnormal pathological findings and guiding the adjustment of study procedures based on pathological results.
- Assures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years of experience in preclinical safety evaluation or toxicologic pathology, with experience in conducting histopathological evaluation of multiple animal species (e.g., rodents, non-rodents) preferred
- Histologic Technician Certificate from American Society for Clinical Pathologists OR Pathologist's Assistant Certificate from American Society for Clinical Pathologists OR Histologic Technologist Certificate from American Society for Clinical Pathologists OR Cytotechnologist Certificate from American Society for Clinical Pathologists
- Proven people manage and team leadership experience
