You will lead go-to-market operations for Walmart Canada Advertising to support China-based advertisers that sell on our marketplace. You will implement the strategy to engage with large brands and SMBs from the ground up and build the necessary enterprise-wide capabilities to lay the foundation for scaling the sales engine in the region.
Key elements of the role,
- Stand up a local sales team, train the team on retail-media fundamentals and on our established sales processes.
- Engage, educate and sell the Walmart Connect suite of digital advertising products (with a focus on search) to medium and small marketplace sellers on
- Develop and oversee agency and technical partner teams that will help activate advertisers on Walmart Connect.
- Execute a sales strategy and build a winning sales culture of collaboration, to achieve targets within the annual operating plan.
- Own the annual forecast and deliver business unit results by developing the full sales cycle.
- Execute the business plan and multiple projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating business plans and priorities, removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance, providing resources, identifying standards, measuring progress and adjusting performance, developing contingency plans and demonstrating agility.
- Seek and implement continuous improvement initiatives and encourage the team to leverage new digital tools and ways of working. Adopt a holistic perspective that considers data, analytics, customer insights and different parts of the business.
- Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, standards of ethics and integrity.
Ideal Experience,
University Graduate with over 15 years of solid commercial experience across Sales, Digital and Advertising roles. Leading input-driven sales team and working in a retail media or direct-response digital advertising business are critical advantages to be successful in this role.
