Role Purpose:

  • Provide structured, concise and accurate advice, and the overall management of project
  • As Director/Team Leader for East China PDS Team

Responsibilities:

  • Productivity & Finance
  • Manage project team to meet their financial reporting objectives and line management duties, i.e. client docket/file creation, project pipeline, project costs, expenses, invoices, billing etc.
  • Efficient use of resources (i.e. travel, stationary costs, etc)

  • Act as focal point of contact and ensure efficient liaison between clients and appointed staff on site.
  • Provide professional support for clients' business needs and objectives combined with commercial awareness
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local customers and MNC clients to drive business growth.

  • Overall project management in building projects, renovation, maintenance and alternation

  • Ensure equipment, facilities and stationary are maintained to optimum levels at all times
  • Provide suggestions to improve and streamline team processes and procedures
  • Undertake voluntary or nominated duties in order to ensure the smooth flow of work through the team or business units
  • Work with a management structure
  • Consistent delivery of a high quality service to clients with their portfolio, including shopping centers, offices, industrial buildings, government buildings and residential developments.

Qualifications:

  • Honours degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, M&E Engineering
  • Professional Body registration – RICS, China 建筑师, Certified Building Engineer.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Over 15 years solid grounding to a high standard in building consultancy skills – e.g. building surveys, statutory submission, space planning, project development, design audit, contractual advice, maintenance management.
  • Demonstrable Project Management experience.
  • Broad-based building surveying experience acquired in the commercial sector.
  • Experience of servicing major state-owned and corporate clients.
  • Broad spectrum of outside interests – well developed contacts and life outside the business.

Skills & Personal Qualities:

  • Business planning and understanding of P&L principles.
  • Business development, selling, negotiating and account management skills.
