The Impact You'll Make in this Role
Role
Solventum Dental Solutions Business Group is recruiting for an amazing Market Access Leader in APAC. As the Market Access Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving Solventum's Market Access strategy for our dental products portfolios across the APAC region. This is an opportunity to partner with Business Leadership and functional leaders to craft and implement strategic initiatives that enable Solventum to offer its dental products to all our target customer segments in all geographic markets, with a focus on China. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Drives and leads the execution of APAC market access strategies for dental products together with regional and country business leaders with a focus on China's mainland market;
- Build & maintain strong trusted and strategic relationships with payers, policy decision-makers, and influencing stakeholders' network to anticipate and shape payers' agendas, plans, and objectives; Identify and drive collaborative projects with local authorities, such as government subsidies, tax incentives, joint projects, etc.
- Monitor and interpret changes in local legislation and regulations, medical policy, and trends in the local Healthcare system that impact our product coverage, recognizing key issues; Translate insights into actionable strategies for product inclusion and competitive positioning, Lead market access efforts to secure favorable reimbursement for our Dental Solutions products;
- Explore and implement strategic initiatives, such as price tiers, volume consolidation, and value-added services by collaborating with Marketing and Commercial Excellence teams, to optimize our contractual terms and maximize the value we deliver to VBP partners.
- Proactively engage with VBP decision-makers, providing insights into industry trends and our value proposition to orchestrate winning VBP strategies and enhance our competitive advantage and secure favorable purchasing decisions.
- Spearheaded the negotiation of VBP contracts, collaborating effectively with Sales Leaders and Marketers to secure favorable terms and conditions to maximize market share while protecting margins. Coordinate with Sales Leaders to ensure efficient contract pull-through and execution.
- Secure reimbursement listing for dental products in national/provincial insurance catalogs. Develop health economic arguments to demonstrate value to payers.
- Lead development and management of portfolio pricing Strategy implementation of dental products in APAC region;
- Support field execution of the reimbursement strategy; train all internal and external stakeholders on reimbursement processes, payer engagement and VBP dynamics to enhance field readiness and build capabilities/competencies;
- Provides new product registrations and maintenance, division laboratories for NPI support and leadership, and health care compliance for training and compliant HCP interactions;
- Advise marketing and R&D on policy-driven product development
- Keeps abreast with the target audience's changing behaviors, industry and market trends, regulations, customer needs, potential, competitors, and advancements to inform and enhance clinical and technical best practices.
- Conduct ongoing review of key market access processes to ensure best practices,
- Communicate regularly to understand authorities' intentions and preferences, convey and strive for support and resources.
- Establish policy monitoring systems to track regulatory changes, competitor activities, and procurement trends across APAC.
The
Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Master's degree in Medical, Public Health/Health Policy, or Health Economics;
- 15+ years of medical device or related work experience in Regulatory Affairs, Government Affairs, Market Access/contracting/pricing, or policy study; demonstrated success in developing market access strategies at an APAC and local country level including pricing, reimbursement, and access; proven track record of successful VBP participation and reimbursement listing in China preferred.
- Strong understanding of local healthcare systems and healthcare regulations and policy environment of this region; experience in the Oral and Dental industry preferred;
- Strong negotiating skills and ability to develop relationships and appropriately influence internal and external stakeholders, ideally from local experience influencing and leading access and pricing negotiations in relevant geographic markets;
- Excellence in strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical ability, and cross-functional collaboration;
- Ability to make clear business arguments and strategic recommendations leveraging both quantitative and qualitative evidence and make decisions with limited information.
