Position: Engineer (Manufacturing Engineering)
Role Overview:
Responsible for planning and executing manufacturing engineering projects to support factory validation, including equipment and process validations such as sterilisation. The role will also focus on improving quality, yield, and capacity post factory and product approval, while supporting new product transfer activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects for quality, yield, process efficiency, and capacity improvement related to IOL manufacturing.
- Manage new product or process development and transfer activities.
- Conduct IQ/OQ/PQ for new equipment and design jigs or fixtures for process improvement.
- Oversee change control and equipment/tooling maintenance.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and communicate effectively with vendors in China, Thailand, Singapore, and Japan.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing; Class III medical device experience preferred.
- Good exposure in machining, inspection, packaging, and automation processes.
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin; Japanese is an advantage.
- Engineering degree with good understanding of lean principles and project management.
- Willingness to travel 10–15% (Thailand, Singapore, Japan).
