Position: Flight Test Engineer & Product Support Representative CFM LEAP-1C (C919 Program) Location: Shanghai (COMAC SADRI site, within the CFM/Safran-GE joint team) + occasional missions on COMAC's Flight Test sites, CFM and suppliers' facilities About the Role Safran Aircraft Engines is seeking an experienced engineer to join the CFM LEAP-1C program for the COMAC C919 aircraft. Based in Shanghai, you will work at COMAC's SADRI site within a multicultural environment, collaborating daily with GE and COMAC teams. The role combines Flight Test Engineering responsibilities and Product Support Engineering interface, ensuring both the smooth execution of flight tests and efficient fleet support for in-service aircraft. Key Responsibilities Support and monitor C919 flight test operations (preparation, analysis, reporting). Ensure correct configuration and continuous airworthiness of the Integrated Propulsion System (IPS). Act as focal point with COMAC and GE for engine-related activities (engineering, maintenance, documentation). Prepare and validate technical procedures, ensure timely reporting of test data and findings. Contribute to certification and compliance activities with COMAC, GE and authorities. Provide after-sales technical support: fleet issue follow-up, customer meetings, documentation updates. Represent Safran in regular coordination forums (GE, COMAC, operators), including readiness for new airline entries into service. Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement with home teams in France and the US.
Profile Education: Aerospace Engineering degree, with strong knowledge of turbofan engines and Engine/Aircraft integration. Experience: Minimum 5 years in aerospace engineering; experience in flight testing or turbofan integration strongly preferred. Languages: Fluent English required; French is a plus.
