Main Purpose
- Develop and implement global equipment sourcing strategy.
- Support the regional procurement and engineering teams with sourcing requirements
- To provide strategic supply, cost & risk management, for specified categories delegated to the role.
- Assist in the design and implementation of the 4PL module for Engineering consumables.
- Support sourcing of global equipment spend ~$90M with the potential to grow.
- To ensure compliance with procurement policies
- To manage strategic relationships with Suppliers and Internal Stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate and reduce costs across the indirect category globally.
Principal Tasks And Responsibilities
- Adopt a proactive approach to safety in all activities. To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of staff and others who may be affected by company activities.
- Assist in the design and implementation of centralised sourcing strategy for the global Nufarm MRO & Equipment spend category
- Oversee the purchasing of MRO & Equipment supplies from a panel of validated vendors, ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and on-time delivery requirements are met.
- Fluent in Chinese & English, with the ability to facilitate and translate technical discussions and documents between regional engineering teams and Chinese based suppliers.
- Review and negotiate supply agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company standards and policies
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to standardise, consolidate and reduce costs across the indirect category globally
- Develop and implement department processes to ensure that the business has visibility on supply and can respond to changes which could impact critical requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement & logistics processes to manage delivery & commissioning of new equipment to support the regional manufacturing sites.
- Develop and implement processes to manage risk of technical non-conformance
- Establish processes to connect with regional stakeholders to forecast major activity and drive engagement in collaborative continuous improvement.
Performance Measures
- Ensure supply of goods and services with the optimum balance of fit for purpose safety, quality, innovation, and reliability at the lowest possible price, within defined delivery lead times and against agreed KPI's
- Develop and implement communication processes to ensure that the business has the opportunity to respond & react to changes which could impact the ability to meet supply timelines.
- Establish a list of approved global manufacturers/suppliers for MRO & Equipment category.
- Develop a handover process for new equipment purchase from delivery to commissioning.

Experience And Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, specifically Mechanical or Electrical preferred or similar qualifications as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Experience in MRO & Equipment sourcing and procurement in industrial chemical manufacturing with at least 5 years spent in a senior category management role.
- Prior experience working with Ariba.
- Prior global procurement experience would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience of devising effective contract management and supplier relationship management strategies
- Experience in developing and implementing effective on-going procurement spend and contracts.
- Experience in procurement operations.

- Ability to develop and implement Category Plans defining the strategic procurement direction for the given category over a 2-5 year time horizon
- Leadership and people skills, including effective communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, coaching and performance planning, measurement, feedback and development.

- Ability to manage and set priorities to achieve results for the organisation.
