POSITION SUMMARY:
The Specialist - End-point Services is responsible for delivering remote and on-site technical support to business users. This role focuses on supporting hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices and peripherals) and software (desktop applications, operating systems), while also handling asset management, preventive maintenance, and basic network and cabling troubleshooting. The specialist ensures all IS&T services are delivered in line with IS&T standards and contributes to project deployments and system readiness.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide remote and on-site support for hardware, system and network devices, desktop applications, and operating systems.
• Support office users and visitors with internet connectivity and related technical issues.
• Ensure accurate inventory records in line with IS&T asset management procedures.
• Troubleshoot basic systems, network and cabling issues, including LAN connectivity and internet service disruptions.
• Perform network patching in IS&T closet rooms as required.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance and health checks on IT hardware to minimize downtime.
• Monitor backup status and manage backup media to ensure data protection and recovery readiness.
• Participate in IT projects as assigned by the Team Lead.
• Coordinate with application and project teams for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of applications.
• Ensure compliance with IS&T operational standards, documentation practices, and security protocols.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
•Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, preferably in a field service or hospitality environment.
•Proficient in supporting Windows and China-developed desktop operating systems, desktop applications, and mobile devices.
•Basic knowledge of networking, including LAN/WAN troubleshooting and cabling.
•Familiarity with IT asset management and preventive maintenance practices.
•Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
•Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
•ITIL Foundation, or equivalent technical certifications is a plus.
• Mandarin/Cantonese and English communication skills are required to effectively support users and collaborate across teams.
