- Advise and assist on transactional and compliance matters. Counsel and advise employees on general commercial law topics, corporate governance, regulatory issues.
- Give legal advice with respect to proposed and existing legislation and other legal developments affecting the company.
- Review, negotiate and draft a wide range of contracts including supply agreements, sales agreements, vendor service agreements, NDA's, outsourcing agreements, IT agreements, license agreements and other general corporate agreements.
- Support in disputes and litigation matters by working with outside counsel for effective and efficient resolution.
- Develop and deliver educational, compliance, and preventative law programs to management and workforce.
- Participate in the development, implementation and enforcement of internal policies and standard procedures/processes for Legal Department and company as a whole.
- Work with members of the global Legal Department and the Freudenberg Regional Corporate Centre on various projects as assigned including global business travel opportunities.
- Opportunity to assume further responsibility, other responsibilities include but, are not limited to, the management of regional programs.
Qualifications
- Full qualified Chinese lawyer, at least 7 years of general corporate/commercial law experience.
Preference for substantial experience with a large/sophisticated law firm and/or "in-house" experience with an international company.
- Strong knowledge of civil and commercial law and experience reviewing, negotiating and drafting wide variety of contracts (e.g., sales, distribution and supply contracts).
- Preference for experience with the automotive industry or manufacturing and knowledge of OE and supplier terms and conditions.
- Knowledge of legal procedures and substantive areas of law.
- High level of personal integrity, high level of interpersonal skills, including strong written and oral communication skills.
- High level of problem solving and analytical skills.
- Self-confident, self-starting and a high level of organizational and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and ability to work within and as part of regional and global team environments.
- Ability to evaluate legal and business risks and demonstrate superior legal judgment, initiative and resourcefulness in order to advise and counsel internal clients (i.e., global and regional management).
- Readiness to travel globally.
