In Scope
- Manage design, deployment, and maintenance of RF test stations on-site at contract manufacturing and vendor sites
- Work with antenna designers, CM partners, Operations, and cross functional station owners to design, bring-up, validate, and debug test stations. Further, collaborate to develop test plans, analyze data, and generate test reports
- Support necessary station retrofits, in-house and through vendor collaboration
- Host on-site visits for and travel to suppliers and vendors
- Independently prioritizing work and proactively communicate with US team members
Success Criteria/Definition of Done
- Proactive risk identification and escalation to appropriate personnel
- Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement for test stations and methodologies
- Resolution of station problems with minimal impact on production timelines
- Development and maintenance of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Development and successful implementation of validation plans to ensure the test stations are functioning as designed, repeatable, and reliable
- Clear documentation of validation plans, execution and data results from validations, and sign-off from stakeholder for 100% of online stations
- Clear and timely communication with the team (always); and daily status emails on station status, risks, completed and on-going actions (during active builds)
- On-site owner and expert on the FATP RF Test stations, solely responsible for all decisions when another team member is not present
Technical Requirements
- BSME or equivalent, with industry experience in mechanical engineering role
- Experience in a large volume manufacturing setting
- Hands-On experience personally assembling and debugging mechanical systems
- GRR and GD&T
- Experience with automation (robotic, pick and place, conveyor, etc.)
- Proficiency with 3D CAD (any modeling package, for example: NX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
- Knowledge of common fabrication and manufacturing methods (injection molding, CNC, etc.)
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritize and multitask independently
